Yidio

Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was a site that gave you a hand in keeping track of these continuously altering contract schedules these days when new streaming services are created all the time and every individual network wants a piece of the streaming site gold mine? A site that would be developed particularly to keep you informed about which service will let you watch what you, rather than Google?

There's no need to be concerned, pals. Because such a website exists. However, not all of these streaming site search engines are equally as high quality or effective, just as not all products are. Some are more attractive than others, they ultilise more streaming services than others, and some have more useful features. I am going to introduce you to Yidio, a streaming site search engine that I've long-used and trusted which never fails me. 

What is Yidio?

Yidio is a website that aggregates movies and TV shows from multiple sources and allows you to watch them all in one place. It's a great way to keep track of your favorite shows and to find new ones to watch. You can also use Yidio to keep track of your watchlist and to find out when new episodes of your favorite shows are available.

User Experience

Yidio has a tiny collection of original content that is normally available for free. The site also serves as a content aggregator, bringing together movies and other media from both free and paid streaming services such as Viewster and Crackle, as well as premium services such as Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Yidio focuses on medium-to-high-definition films and movies, most of which are comparable to DVD quality. While you'll see HD and even 4K movies, they'll always be expensive and only available through premium services like Netflix or for rental through Amazon or Google. Yidio also provides substantially higher quality than rivals such as Viewster, which is a plus.

Design

Overall, the UI is quick and simple to use, although, in my opinion, it is not as good as Netflix or Amazon Prime, which allow you to filter and search with more factors, favourite and star items for later viewing, and sync across devices.

Past users of Hulu and Netflix will discover that transitioning to Yidio is just a breeze. This is because Yidio's design is based on both of these popular streaming services. You may search for titles by genre, popularity, on-trend, network company, airdate,... Imagine all of your favourite streaming sites gathered in one place, and you'll have a fair idea of how Yidio works.

You can filter movies and TV shows using Yidio's interface, which includes filters like Netflix, Free, Trending, and Most Popular, as well as a live schedule. You can sort through over 40 genres and search the actor/actress name, movie title,... from the search bar. There are also IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes reviews for you to check. 

Different devices platform 

To be honest, I prefer using Yidio on my PC rather than my small phone. I enjoy how it mimics Netflix and provides a simple and familiar user interface. However, if you want to get the most out of your Yidio mobile experience, you should download the app. It provides a similar simplified and easy-to-navigate interface, as well as tailored notifications for when your favourite episodes are scheduled to run and a personalized watch list. Yidio, in my opinion, is on par with the Netflix app. The 4.2 stars rating from 1.9k reviewers on AppStore appears to me that I'm not the only one who likes the Yidio app.

Suggestions and conclusion

The fact that you will be transferred to another site or app if you click on Yidio’s links sucks to me. I think it would be more convenient for users if we can watch content directly on Yidio website. This is made even more unpleasant by the fact that you may be compelled to install extra applications merely to open a link on the app.

Another point to make is that Yidio is ads-supported. These are massive and they even have some risky ads and commercials that can harm your device if you accidentally click and download whatever they say. Given that their services are all free, I understand why they allow ads on their site. You can always protect yourself with antivirus or AdBlock extensions.
