About Supercartoons

What happened to Supercartoons?

There is nothing wrong with Supercartoons apart from the fact that like any other free cartoons streaming site, all the cartoons are pirated. This is why the site is often closed down and changes its URL extension. Currently, you can get access to Supercartoons via https://www.supercartoons.net/.

What is Supercartoons?

It can be difficult to find actual history on free streaming sites like this. The creators of these sites are frequently anonymous, and much of how the sites came to be is kept under wraps. The one thing I know for certain about Supercartoons is that it has been in operation since 2012, according to the website. The fact that Supercartoons has remained free for nearly a decade is particularly impressive. And here's to Supercartoons continuing to exist for another decade (and beyond! ), as it is a fantastic archive of some of the most classic (and difficult to find) animated content of all time.

Is Supercartoons safe to use?

Supercartoons receives a score of 87% in the security and privacy website checker extension, chongluadao, developed by a division of the National Cyber Security Centre. While Supercartoons is one of the most well-known free cartoons streaming websites on the internet, its URL extensions change regularly to avoid being mistaken for pirated websites. In addition, Supercartoons doesn’t have many ads and pop-ups so you can ensure its safety.

Is Supercartoons legal?

Although it is illegal to watch cartoons on Supercartoons because all of the cartoons on the site are pirated, you can rest assured when using the site as long as you don’t download its content and share it. Plus this site does not store any files on its server, all contents are provided by non-affiliated third parties. Many of Supercartoons’s watchers have streamed cartoons on this website for years without encountering any problems thanks to VPN.

Is there a Supercartoons app for mobile/iPad/tv?

Unfortunately, there is no Supercartoons app available right now. Of course, this would significantly improve the mobile user experience (for obvious reasons). Having said that, the site is fairly well optimised for mobile browsers. In fact, Supercartoons has one of the best mobile experiences I've ever seen among free streaming sites. Simply scroll through the titles and click on whatever you want to see without being bombarded with ads or a clunky design. The site works well on any device, including a desktop computer, iPhone, Android, or tablet.

Supercartoons review

1. User interface

Supercartoons has a very simple website design. When you arrive at the home page, you will be greeted by a sky-blue background with animated clouds softly lining the top of the page. It is not the most visually appealing streaming site I have ever seen, but it feels appropriate for the content it offers. It gives the site a real sense of animated fun, and I always appreciate it when a site's design reflects the content in some way.

Aside from that, the site is fairly well organised. A site menu bar at the top of the page lets you browse Supercartoons' videos by a variety of criteria. Simply select from the options Home, Cartoons, Characters, Studios, or Series. This allows you to browse the site as broadly or as narrowly as you like. The one major feature that it glaringly lacks is a search bar, which would allow you to type in a specific keyword and not have to click through page after page to find what you're looking for.

When you click on a video, an embedded JW Media Player displays the content of your choice. It's a simple setup, and additional videos will appear above the player. Simply enter full-screen mode to immerse yourself in the content, or minimise it to see more information and watch additional videos. Each video is accompanied by a description that includes a synopsis, studio and character credits, and an overall rating (given by fellow Supercartoons users).

2. Content library

I've already covered the majority of what Supercartoons has to offer, but let me go over it again in case I missed anything. Only the best of the best, the classic animations, can be found on this website. Freely watch classic cartoons from our youth, such as Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Scooby-Doo, Donald Duck, Tasmanian Devil, and others. Supercartoons' home page boasts that it hosts over 1,000 cartoon shorts. I hate to be the guy who is always looking for something to complain about, but I believe that this archive could be greatly expanded. I'd like to see Supercartoons include more shows from more networks and from a wider range of time periods. The most recent cartoon on Supercartoons most likely aired in the 1970s. It also does not include any full-length episodes or movies. Supercartoons could be made even better by including a few newer shows (perhaps from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s), as well as a few feature-length presentations. However, I understand that doing so would create a copyright nightmare and could jeopardise the entire site.

3. Pricing and ads

The fact that Supercartoons is completely free with few advertisements is arguably its best feature. Most sites like this are littered with popups, on-page advertisements, and advertisements that play before the video content begins. When it comes to advertisements, Supercartoons are especially light-handed. A simple adblocker will keep you safe from any unwanted solicitation.

4. Suggestions

For starters, I'd love to see Supercartoons create a good app. The site's design and the type of archived content it offers, I believe, would lend itself well to the app space. However, given the nature of the site, this is highly unlikely. That being said, as I previously stated, I believe Supercartoons would benefit greatly from expanding their lineup of shows. As of now, the site is somewhat specialised. I'd like to see their product line expanded. Perhaps a premium upgrade would enable this.
