Netflix IOS App

About Netflix IOS App
Netflix lets subscribers view movies and TV shows from the Instant Watch library. Although the streaming service's catalogue isn't as extensive as Netflix's DVD library, it's still great to be able to choose from multiple shows on your iOS device. iOS 7 users can now watch HD movies.
Simple interface
The Netflix app has a simple design. It shows you your most recent viewed shows and incomplete shows at the top. Next, it shows featured content such as Top Picks and other popular shows. To view more content in different genres, swipe up and then swipe left to see more. You can browse flicks and shows from more common genres like Action, TV Shows, or Comedies by clicking the Browse button to the upper left.
The app displays all details about a title by touching it. This includes the synopsis and star rating as well as the list of episodes. You can quickly jump to a later episode by using the drop-down menu.
Watching TV and movies
When you tap on a Netflix video, the viewing controls appear and disappear. You can now scroll through the timeline using a larger button. This window shows you the exact moment of the video, which is great for finding the right part of the show. You can rewind to go back 10 seconds. The upper right now has a volume control that allows you to adjust the volume of your iPad by simply swiping left or right. It also works in real-time and is very responsive. You can also change the language and enable subtitles to allow for silent viewing. In our testing, all interface controls responded quickly and smoothly.
Even older devices like the iPad 2 and iPhone 4, video quality is great, provided you have strong Wi Fi connectivity. It will look even better with an older iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Playback was smooth with no skips or blips and no freezes.
The cloud syncs Netflix's viewing data. This is one of the best features. Netflix tracks your position in a show so that if you close the app you can reload it from the drop-off point. It functions like a digital bookmark. Even if your device is turned off, you can still log in to Netflix from a computer or other mobile device.
New features in iOS 7
Netflix's latest update allows you to stream HD video with iOS 7. The app also supports AirPlay streaming. This will only apply to movies and shows that have already been HD. However, if HD is available, there will be an HD box at the top of a page. You'll then be able to view the higher resolution version. This will make your device significantly more responsive, especially if you have the Retina Display.
Although they are somewhat strange, the new AirPlay streaming capabilities for iOS 7 will prove useful in certain circumstances. AirPlay Mirroring was already available before this update. This feature allows you to stream video to your Apple TV. If you have an Apple TV, you can use the Netflix app on Apple TV. AirPlay streaming is only useful if you visit a friend who has an Apple TV but doesn't have Netflix. AirPlay streaming allows you to stream the movie directly from your Netflix account to your friend's Apple TV. It's not a significant improvement, but it gives you more flexibility.
The app is completely free but you must subscribe to Netflix in order to view video. This can be done for $8 per month. The Netflix app is primarily focused on streaming on-demand; it currently does not manage your rental queue. The Netflix app is still a great option if you're looking to stream videos and shows while on the move.
